We’ve all seen or heard the news about the devastating earthquake in Haiti. An untold number have lost their lives and many more are still missing under the rubble of crumbled buildings.

The world has relied on fossil fuels for a long time. Fossil fuels are used to heat our homes, gas our cars, and provide electricity. We are starting to see the consequences of habitual fossil fuel use. Resources are becoming depleted and slowly our planet is dying.
There is significant evidence that our planet’s weather and climate patterns are changing rapidly as a direct result of global warming. Droughts, receding glaciers and ice caps, extreme storms, rises in ocean temperatures and sea levels, shifts in distribution of organisms and diseases are just some of the results of the reality of climate change.
Instead of wasting and throwing out your ink cartridges, why not refill them? If you are a company, home, or school doing a lot of printing, replacing your ink cartridges can be a spendy bill. Refilling the cartridges you already have instead of replacing them with new ones can be a way of cutting costs.
Are we the masters of this planet? Do we have the authority to self-righteously assume global dominance? The following news story is my view to these questions. It is certainly not definitive but an expression of my own thoughts and opinions.

The passage through the House of Representatives of the American Clean Energy and Security Act moved Pres. Barack Obama closer to the possibility of a significant victory. The ACES Act calls for utilities to use more renewable energy and brings in increased requirements up through the year 2050. The new act expands to a nationwide basis the need for utilities to pay extra attention to energy production.
